Typically you would build up to 1 hour sessions at least three times per week, but not more than once per day. Your clinician will prescribe the usage that is appropriate for you.
Depending on several factors including your hand and arm function, trunk control and flexibility, you may or may not be able to set yourself up on the RT300-SL.
| Adhesive electrodes are placed on your skin over the leg and trunk muscle
groups that your clinician selected to be electrically stimulated. These electrodes can be used 10 to 15 times; while their adhesive and conductive gel is working. | ![]() |
| Your feet are then secured into the RT300-SL's pedals using straps and your legs (calves) are secured against the calf rests. | ![]() |
| Your wheelchair or chair is secured to the RT300-SL using wheelchair restraints. These are the same restraints that you often see in vehicles. | ![]() |
| Now that you are positioned and connected, you tap GO on the SAGE controller. SAGE will download your latest therapy settings from RTILink and your session will start. You can read more about the phases of a session here >> | ![]() |
| SAGE will control the stimulation patterns being sent to your legs and trunk, producing a smooth pedaling motion. | ![]() |
Once your therapy session has completed, SAGE will save all of your results back to RTILink where you can see them. There are several outcome measures that you can look at on RTILink. Two important ones are:
